TRANSITION DINNER

Transition Dinner Overview

We prepare a home cooked dinner for 90+ homeless veterans as they work to regain employment and re-engage with the community.  Meeting at the large kitchen at church we prepare home cooked meals always including fresh fruit, home baked breads desserts as well as many dozen cookies.  Meals have included all made from scratch; lasagnas, enchiladas, beef stews, stir fry, etc.

All ages from children through seniors are welcome to participate.

We begin at 2:30 and cook, then at 5:30 drive down to serve the meal.  We eat dinner with them and leave all leftovers for another meal the following day.

During these Covid times, we are purchasing a main dish and filling in with home baked items, as well as fruits, veggies, and snack foods.  We will begin cooking in person at a time TBA.
